An exceptional experience for every child to reach their full potential.
Children’s Mental Health Week 2026 is an important opportunity to highlight the wellbeing of young people and to encourage everyone in our school community to think about how we can support children’s emotional development. The week focuses on helping pupils understand their feelings, build resilience, and learn strategies for positive mental health through supportive activities and conversations. We will celebrate Children’s Mental Health Week during the first week back after midterm, beginning 16th February, with events and classroom activities designed to promote confidence, kindness, and connection. It will be a chance for us all to come together, reflect on the importance of mental wellbeing, and give children the tools they need to thrive.
It is only through visiting us that you will truly realise how we live our school moto "Learn to Love, Love to Learn"
Our pupils love St Mary's on the Hill because there are lots of opportunities to succeed. Pupils have lots of friends and enjoy being welcomed every morning.
Our curriculum promotes children's self-esteem by concentrating on activities and learning experiences which encourage confidence, curiosity and creativity.
St. Mary’s on the Hill is a Catholic maintained, co-educational primary school, where the child is at the centre of everything we do. We are a happy, caring school that works in partnership with all our parents and the parish community to ensure that our children make the most of their potential in academic, religious and personal development.
